Volunteer Opportunities

The Village is always looking for volunteers who are inspired to serve the Marvin community. Those interested in serving can:

Serve on an Advisory Board

The Village Council occasionally forms advisory boards and committees to advise on certain subject matters. These boards meet monthly, mostly in the evenings, to discuss and make recommendations to the Village Council on a various matters.

Please consider applying to one or multiple boards if you are interested in serving. Even if there are no vacancies, we will hold your application for one year in case vacancies arise. Those wishing to serve on the Village's advisory boards must be at least 18 years of age.

Volunteer to Work at Marvin Efird Park

Volunteers are frequently needed at Marvin Efird Park, especially to help maintain the gardens and landscaping. Village staff and members of the Parks, Recreation, and Greenways Board occasionally organize Volunteer Workdays at Marvin Efird Park, where members of the community show up to the Park on a Saturday morning to work in the gardens. Please keep an eye out for these events, as they will be posted on our Events page. Please note that all volunteers must complete a waiver form.

If you would like to volunteer to work at Marvin Efird Park outside of these events, please contact:

We are always looking for new members to join our team and help make a difference right here in Marvin. Future goals include more hands-on educational programs for families.
