Marvin Loop Greenway Extension (BL-0012)

Project Description

The Marvin Loop Trail project aims to create a safe and interconnected greenway system in Marvin to address the increased traffic and safety concerns of residents. The project's primary goal is to construct a trail segment that will serve as the cornerstone of the Marvin Greenway network, providing pedestrian access to various neighborhoods, schools, and the planned Marvin Heritage District. This trail segment will promote a greater sense of community, encourage healthy and active lifestyles, and contribute to the implementation of the Village of Marvin Parks and Greenways Master Plan.

Proposed Route

As part of Marvin Loop Trail, the Village of Marvin is proposing to construct a 0.95-mile shared-use path (sidewalk) that will connect to the existing shared-use path along Marvin School Road near the intersection of Yellow Jasmine Lane, continuing southwest to New Town Road where it will extend westward towards the intersection of New Town Road and Marvin Road at the existing roundabout.
