Solicitation of Quotes for Underbrush Removal

The Village of Marvin will be soliciting quotes for underbrush clean-up of the new Village Hall to be located at 10006 Marvin School Road, Marvin NC 28173. The Village's Urban Forester has assessed the proposed area and recommended the work as described below. The total area is estimated less than an acre (measurement attached). All quotes shall be lump-sum. The extent of the work is described below and shown on the drawing as attached. Quotes must be submitted to the Village of Marvin (in person, by mail, or email) to the attention of Village Manager, Christina Amos, or Village Clerk, Austin Yow, by 2:00 p.m. on October 21, 2021.


Scope of work will consist of the removal of any shrubs, trees, underbrush, etc. that is less than 2 inches in diameter from the crosshatched area on the attached GIS map (with the exception of the three (3) identified large trees that are to be protected. The bidder is expected to conduct work with hand clearing. No heavy equipment is permitted except for a bush hog that will have minimal impact on tree roots. Skid steer clearing is prohibited. Debris should be chipped and piled for later use. Work is expected to be awarded on October 29, 2021 and completed by December 31, 2021.


The Village of Marvin reserves the right to reject any and all quotes, and to waive all technicalities. Bidders must guarantee price for a period of not less than 90 days. Bidders must comply with NC Everify requirements.
