Union County 2025 Property Reappraisal

Under North Carolina law, Union County regularly revalues property for the purpose of assessing property taxes so that residents and businesses are paying based on the current market value of their property. The Union County Tax Administration Office is in the process of reappraising properties now. Property owners will receive notices of their updated valuation in early 2025.

Taxes

All Marvin residents pay both Village and County property taxes. The current tax rate is $0.08 per $100 of assessed value. Taxes are due September 1 and become delinquent after January 5. In North Carolina, property taxes are levied annually against all real property, business equipment, and vehicles by each municipality and each county.
