WUMA or The Western Union Municipal Alliance was formed in 2020 to study, investigate, advocate for, and promote regional issues affecting towns in the Western Union County area, including land use planning, transportation, economic development, etc. Currently the alliance includes delegates from the elected boards of Weddington, Marvin, Wesley Chapel, Mineral Springs, and Stallings.
Meetings are held every 4th Thursday of the month at 4pm. The location rotates between towns. The next meeting will be held Thursday, August 26 at 4pm at Stallings Town Hall.
